When I first started meditation at home many years ago, it was very difficult to
practice concentration by having eyes slightly open and focus on the nose.
One of my teachers suggested an alternative method to initiate my concentration:

1. A quiet room with fresh air is prepared.
2. To turn off all room lights,
3. To light up a candle with a dim light in the dark room.
    (similar to the photo).
4. To focus on the candle light and watch my breaths mindfully.
5. When concentration is initiated, just be free and watch inwardly.
6. Watch our mind movement – come and go, do not attach to it.
7. Gradually it becomes easy to enter into a concentrated state
     in home meditation practice.

When we become more skillful, this dim light can be an object
brought into our physical body system, and can be moved with
our “Chi” throughtout the whole system.

Hope this will be helpfull for any meditation beginner.

Light Up ourselve and Share

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle,
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.
